A 33 inch tall vinyl sculpture constructed from thrift store records left over after making the
Secondhand Sureshots Deluxe Super Sets. This sculpture was created for the Secondhand Sureshots DVD release party & screening April 3, 2010 at the Downtown Independent Theater in Los Angeles.

Shot with the Canon 5D Mark II, and other Canon SLR cameras.

About a month later we made the sculpture into a pinhole camera and actually took photos with it.

He told me he learned to hand make everything he is wearing from his grandfather, and has taught his son & grandchildren as well.

So I am a little late on putting the word out thru the Blog on this before the show.
But it is still up and the prints are for sale at NONI BOUTIQUE until mid August.
HERE is a link to a Blog of all the work on display put together by Grace Oh who currated the show.
Below are the 2 prints I am showing.
Also beyond just being a group photo show I reached out to my good friend Kiel Johnson to build a giant card board camera for the show to put in the stores window.
What he came up with is beyond what I ever expected and I filmed and did time lapse of the entire construction of the camera...more on that video project coming very soon...

Andres Renteria joined her on percussion amongst the vines and parrots for an incredibly special, intimate concert.

I photographed these amazing tables at the studio today for 10:28 Designs in collaboration with my good friend & amazing artist "The Draftsmen" Augustine Kofie One.
These are for a new website for "Project 10:28" coming soon.
The tables are made with a lazer cuter & hand inlayed from stained wood like fine art puzzle pieces...wow!

Above is my piece from the show, an enlarged contact sheet from a roll of film I shot last summer with my Holga plastic camera. It was a super hot day in the Mojave Desert.
I think the portraits of the crew in there sunglasses tell a funny little story.

My good friend T.Lee at Roger.tv added a little photoshop humor to emphasize to the miniaturization effect of the lens.

I worked with the good folks at Colourmovie back in August to make this intro spot for a new HBO Comedy Special.
It was all shot on location in LA, NYC, & Vegas using Canon Digital SLR still cameras, & the RedOne. The Spot just aired on HBO last week & I am super exited about how it all came together...wow!

This video is a demonstration of a software developed by André Mintz. The program still has some memory issues, causing some bugs in the image, specially when the image display is combined with video recording. They are working on this issue, but, meanwhile, it's still fun.

These are some selects from the Look Book shoot I did last week for Cosa Nostra’s Autumn Winter 08 line by designer Jeffrey Sebelia.

Jeffrey’s my neighbor in the Old Bank District Downtown. His production studio is located just a few blocks away within the walls of the Orpheum Theater Building. The whole production from designing to making and photographing the clothing was all done in the US in the historic core of downtown Los Angeles.

I recently did the photography for this album cover by a group called C.R.A.C. Knuckles (pronounced "crass") which the acronym for the collaboration by two of my favorite Los Angeles based MC's Blu & Ta'Raach "C.R.A.C. = Collect Respect Anna Check".

Obey GasLamp Killer Mix CD Cover

I shot this photo last summer for a good friend of mine Willow when we gave him a much-needed haircut after a year of not cutting it. Will is a Los Angeles based DJ and producer performing under the name "The Gaslamp Killer”. He is hands-down one of the Best DJ’s in Los Angeles, one of my personal favorites and his music has already taken him around the globe and back a few times.  I gave him the photo to use for press or whatever else he wanted to use it for. So he passed it on to OBEY when they were looking for content for the art work of his Mix CD he just finished for them, which comes out this week at Magic in Vegas. 10,000 copies of the CD, a 7in Vinal Box Set, Obey T-shirts, posters and other memorabilia will be available as well.
